Sheila Lightle

Sheila Lightle, age 61, a resident of Portland, passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.

Sheila was born October 12, 1962 in Hartford City, Indiana the daughter of Luther and Kathleen (Gannon) Valentine.  Sheila graduated from Blackford High school in 1981  She worked in the cafeteria for Jay County High School and worked as a activity assistant at Swiss Village in Berne.  Sheila was also a CNA for 16 years.  Sheila attended The Rock Church in Portland and was a member of The Rock Ladies.

Survivors Include:

Her children – Vivian “Beth” Pryor – Portland, Indiana

Derek Lightle (wife Sara) – Bluffton, Indiana

2 sisters – Rose Valentine – Selah, Washington

Cheryl Valentine – Roberts (husband Cary) Selah, Washington

A brother – Luther Valentine – Hartford City, Indiana

5 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 30, 2024 from 5-8 p.m. at the Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland.  Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 31, 2024 at 11a.m at the Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland.  Burial will follow at IOOF Cemetery in Hartford City, Indiana.
