Stephen Crump

Stephen Crump, age 84, a resident of rural Portland, passed away on Friday, November 28, 2025 at his home.

Stephen was born March 17, 1941, in Bluffton, Indiana, the son of Joseph and Garnett (Elliott) Crump. He graduated from Hartford City High School in 1959 and was a veteran of the U.S. Airforce from 1960-1963. Stephen retired from New Venture Gear in Muncie in 1993. He enjoyed attending and participating in square dancing for many years. Stephen married Londa (Bowen) Crump on October 16, 1964 and she passed away on May 27, 2012.

Nolan Crump (wife Debbie) – Hartford City, Indiana

Delilah Earhart – Hartford City, Indiana

9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren

Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Hartford City Cemetery in Hartford City, Indiana. American Legion Post #211 will conduct military rites.
