Steve Aker

Steve Aker, age 71, a former resident of Portland, passed away on Friday, May 3, 2024 in Richmond, Indiana.

Steve was born April 18, 1953 the son of Clarence Sam and Rosalie Pauline (Axe) Aker. He graduated from Jay County High School and worked for First Fleet. Steve was a member of the Sons of The American Legion in Portland, Indiana, and the Eagles Lodge in Portland.

His daughter: Michelle Wilson (husband Larry) – Saratoga, Indiana

3 sons: Scott Aker (wife Angie) – Wilshire, Ohio

Charles Aker (wife Michelle) – Mooresville, Indiana

Chris Aker – Fort Wayne, Indiana

His brother: Clay Aker (wife Robin) - Loveland, Colorado

5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at a later date at Mt. Zion Cemetery northeast of Portland.

Arrangements entrusted to Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland.

Memorials can be directed to the Portland American Legion.
