Sylvia Coons

Sylvia Coons, age 79, a resident of Redkey, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2025 at her home.

Sylvia was born December 30, 1945, the daughter of Everett and Mary (Gruden) Hultz.  She worked as a cook at Albany Nursing Home for 27 years and was a member of the Redkey American Legion Auxiliary.  She married Charles “Red” Coons on June 13, 1964.

Her husband:  Charles “Red” Coons – Redkey, Indiana

Her siblings:  Mary Miller – New Haven, Indiana

Martha Maddox (husband Chuck) – Hartford City, Indiana

Rafard Hultz – Hartford City, Indiana

Several nieces and nephews

Private graveside services will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery, south of Redkey.

Arrangements entrusted to Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland.
