Teresa Guffey

Teresa A. Guffey, age 57 passed away Saturday, October 2, 2021 at  her home in Redkey.  She was a 1984 graduate of Jay County High School.  She was employed by Staples in Muncie for over 15 years, and loved to quilt in her spare time.  She was a motorcycle enthusiast and loved to ride.  She and her husband completed a cross country motorcycle tour of the United States going from coast to coast in the summer of 2001.

Teresa Guffey was born March 24, 1964 in New Castle, Indiana the daughter of Robert Dallas and Fronne Lucille (Eaton) Easton.  She married James Guffey on October 14, 1984.

Her beloved husband of over 36 years- James Guffey, Redkey, Indiana

1 Loving daughter- Lisa Guffey, Redkey, Indiana

5 Beloved grandchildren-James, Gabrielle, and Daisy Pritchard, Drako Pritchard-Guffey, and Ivan Guffey

2 Sisters- Ronda Helsel (husband-Rick), Columbia City,  and Lisa Robbins, of Muncie

2 Brothers- Troy Easton, Dunkirk, and Dale Easton (wife-Tina) Ft. Recovery, Ohio

A step brother- Steve Parker and Step Sister- Robin Brotherton, Portland.

Brother in law- Alan Guffey

Step Mother- Cheri Parker Easton

She was preceded in death by her loving son, James R. Guffey.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 12:00pm-2:00pm on Friday, October 8, 2021 in the Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland.  Funeral services to celebrate her life will follow at 2:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Claycomb Cemetery west of Portland.
