Thelma (Spitzer) Bock
August 5, 1930 — February 2, 2014
Thelma Spitzer Bock, age 83 passed away Sunday, February 2, 2014 at her home in Portland. She was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church in Portland. She retired in 1991 from the local Sears store in Portland after 24 years. She also worked at the Jay Co. Abstract Co. for several years. She was a member of Prime time at Jay County Hospital.
Thelma was born August 5, 1930 in Portland, Indiana the daughter of Ara and Ruth (Caster) Smith. She was married in 1946 to Paul Spitzer who passed away in 1986. She then married Rev. Francis Bock in 1988 and he passed away in 1999.

1 Son- Kevin Spitzer (wife-Ivy), Dayton, Ohio
2 Daughters- Deborah Spitzer, Portland, Indiana
Vicky Boxell, Portland, Indiana
1 Sister- Freeda Fiely, Portland, Indiana
2 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren
Visitation will be held from 4-7pm on Thursday in the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland.
Funeral services will be held at 10 am Friday in the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland. Pastor Tim Dilley will officiate the services and burial will follow in the Green Park Cemetery.
