Thelma G. Cole, age 102, a former Pennville resident passed away Monday, September 21, 2015 at her home in Ossian, Indiana. Thelma was a member of the Pennville United Methodist Church, and a member of the Pennville Order of Eastern Star. She worked for Jay Garment Co. in Portland from 1932-1965 and was a cook at the Pennville High School. She then worked at Pennville Custom Cabinets for 10 years. She was a 1932 graduate of Portland High School.
Thelma G. Cole was born September 15, 1913 in Wabash Twp. Jay County the daughter of Harvey and Clara (Grile) Beeler. She was married to R.D. Cole on July 27, 1944, he passed away on January 30, 2005.
Survivors Include:
1 Daughter- Fayellen Stein (husband-Philip), Ossian, Indiana
2 Sons- Clinton Teeters (wife-Joan), New Paris, Indiana
Rolland (Butch) Cole (wife-Darlene), Kokomo, Indiana
1 Brother- Paul Young (wife-Ruby), Kendallville, Indiana
7 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren
Visitation will be held from 11am-1pm on Wednesday in the Pennville Chapel of the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm Wednesday in the Pennville Chapel of the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home. Pastor Gary Phillips will officiate the services and burial will follow in the IOOF Twin Hills Cemetery in Pennville.
