Treva Dotson

Treva Dotson, age 86, a resident of Dunkirk, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, September 6, at her home in Dunkirk.

Treva was born on June 29, 1940, in Darke County, Ohio, the daughter of Oscar and Mary (Garringer) Arnold. Treva worked in multiple nursing homes doing Home Health Care. Treva was a member of the Lighthouse Tabernacle Church in Dunkirk.

2 Sons: Bert Overla (wife Tonya) – Dunkirk, Indiana

Bill Overla – Dunkirk, Indiana

2 Daughters: Jane Fraley (husband Doug) – Dunkirk, Indiana

Deb Nottingham – Dunkirk, Indiana

A brother: Clyde Arnold (wife Judy) – Hartford City, Indiana

12 Grandchildren, 32 Great-Grandchildren, 1 Great-Great-Grandchild

Treva was preceded in death by her parents, 1 son, 2 sisters, 2 grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday September 9, 2026 from 12pm-2pm at the Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Pastor Kyle Holt will officiate, and burial will follow at I.O.O.F Cemetery in Dunkirk, Indiana.
