Vernon E. Stoner, age 86, a resident of Salamonia passed away Thursday January 4, 2018 at his home.
Vernon was born October 7, 1931 in Jay County, the son of Arlie and Minnie (Burkey) Stoner. Vernon graduated from Madison High School in 1949, he was a veteran in the United States Marine Corps and retired from the Teledyne Portland Forge in 1995. Vernon was member of the Portland Moose Lodge and Salamonia American Legion.
Vernon married Teresa Prue on March 26, 1954 and she passed away on January 27, 1996.

3 Daughters: Debra Barker (husband Mark) – Eau Claire, Wisconsin
Regina Kalinski – Salamonia, Indiana
Galen Stoner – Muncie, Indiana
1 Brother: Carl Stoner (wife Alma) – Portland, Indiana
2 Sister: Esther Schindler (husband John) – Sebring, Florida
Edna White (husband Raymond) – Redkey, Indiana
One Granddaughter
He was proceeded in death by his Wife Teresa Stoner and one Grandson.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, August 17, 2019 at Salamonia Cemetery in Salamonia, Indiana.
