Wilma Applegate

Wilma Applegate, age 85 a resident of Portland passed away Sunday, May 17, 2020 at Persimmon Ridge Rehabilitation Center.  She retired in 1991 after 30 years from Kerr Glass in Dunkirk, Indiana.

Wilma Applegate was born September 29, 1934 in Mayesville, Kentucky the daughter of Herbert and Ethel (O’Cull) Sellers.  She was married to Bobby Applegate on May 24, 1952 and he passed away on May 28, 2012.

Survivors Include:

2 Sons- Jeff and Robert Applegate, Portland, and 1 daughter- Brenda Phillips, Portland.

2 Half sisters- Penny and Krista Sellers, Mayesville, Kentucky

4 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren

A sister, Ruth McCune preceded her in death.

Private graveside services will be held on Wednesday at Green Park Cemetery in Portland.
