Amber Jenkins

Amber Jenkins, age 40, a resident of Portland, passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis following an extended illness. 

            Amber was born on October 8, 1982, in Coldwater, Ohio, the daughter of David Keen and Carol (Howell) Geesaman.  She graduated from Jay County High School in 2001 and worked for Village Pantry, JRDS and Walmart all of Portland. 

            Survivors include:

            Mother:  Carol Geesaman (husband Randy) – Portland, Indiana

            Father:  David Keen (wife Ashley) – Portland, Indiana

            Grandmother:  Ruth Howell – Coldwater, Ohio

            Boyfriend:  James Grogan – Portland, Indiana

            Step-daughter:  Beth Grogan

           Grandson:  Rayden Terry

            Brothers:  Chris Keen (wife Danielle) – Portland, Indiana

                             David Keen (wife Allison) – Portland, Indiana

            ½ sister:  Dawn Kelley – Salamonia, Indiana

            Step-Sister:  Kendra Davis – Decatur, Indiana

            Step-brothers:  Tyler Arnold – Portland, Indiana

                                     Kenny Arnold – Portland, Indiana

                                     Greg Geesaman (wife Brittany) – Shelby, North Carolina

                                    Scott Geesaman (wife Lori) – Union City, Ohio

            Several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews

            Visitation will be held on Friday, July 21, 2023 from 1-3 p.m. at The Rock Church in Portland.  Memorial services will follow at 3 p.m. on Friday at the church. 

            Memorials may be directed towards the family in care of the funeral home.
