Christine Lykins

     Christine Lykins, 55 age, a resident of Muncie, Indiana passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2020 in Franklin, Indiana.

     Christine was born May 5, 1965 in Portland, Indiana the daughter of Leo Schwieterman and Charlotte Chadwick (Abel). Christine graduated from Jay County High School in 1983 and earned her bachelor’s degree from University of Indianapolis in 1988. Christine was a registered nurse at IU Health Ball Hospital.  She enjoyed donating platelets and plasma through Indiana Blood Center. Christine enjoyed gardening, flowers, cats, auctions, and collecting Kewpie dolls, and antiques.

Her parents: Leo Schwieterman – Union City, Ohio

                     Charlotte Chadwick – Muncie, Indiana

1 son: Mitchell Lykins – Muncie, Indiana

2 daughters: Lauren Lykins – Bloomington, Indiana

                     Camille Lykins – Muncie, Indiana

1 sister: Theresa Clingenpeel (husband Tim) – Berne, Indiana

1 grandson:  River Hodge and his mother, Emmalie Hodge. 

Several nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her step-father, David Chadwick and a sister, Leanne Bowen. 

     Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1-4 p.m. at Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home, 208 N. Commerce St., Portland, Indiana 47371.  

     A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mary Catholic Church, 2300 W. Jackson St., Muncie, Indiana 47303.  Burial will follow in Salamonia Cemetery in Salamonia, Indiana.
