Donn H. Lea

Donn H. Lea, age 85, a resident of rural Dunkirk, passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2022 at his home in rural Dunkirk. 

Donn was born on February 16, 1937, in Blackford County, Indiana, the son of David Lea, Sr. and Melvie (Dickson) Lea.  He attended Gray High School and served for 8 years in the Indiana National Guard.  He retired from Ball Foster Glass in 2000 after 44 years of service.  Donn married Barbara Geesaman on February 2, 1964. 

Survivors include:

His wife of 58 years:  Barbara Lea – rural Dunkirk, Indiana

2 daughters:  Anna Lea Doyle (husband Larry) – Ft. Worth, Texas

                     Anita Dulaney (husband Ryan) – Muncie, Indiana

5 grandchildren:  Brandon, Brett, Aaron, Sarah and Katie

He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Melvie Lea; three brothers Jack, David Jr. and Clarence and his sister Lila. 

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 12-2 p.m. at Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland.  Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.  Pastor Steve Arnold will officiate and burial will follow at Center Cemetery, west of Portland.
