Douglas Platt

     Douglas Platt, age 72 a resident of Portland passed away Saturday, July 11, 2020 at Persimmon Ridge Rehabilitation Center.  He was a 1966 graduate of Portland High School and worked at Sheller Globe, Almco Steel, and FCC in Portland.  He was a member of the Arch Bridge Kroozers Car Club in Portland.

     Douglas Platt was born February 20, 1948 in Jay County, Indiana the son of Virgil and Mary Ann (Smith) Platt.

He was married on February 11, 1999 to Barbara Pavey and she preceded him in death in 2014.

Survivors Include:

2 Brothers- David Platt (wife-Susie), Cicero, Indiana and Thomas Platt,  Ft. Wayne, Indiana

1 Sister- Jacquelyn LeMaster, Berne, Indiana

3 Step sons- Terrry Bowdell, Indianapolis, Indiana, Raymond Bowdell (wife- Jennifer), Portland, Chad Bowdell (wife-Sabra), Portland.

Several nieces and nephews

     Visitation will be held for family and friends from 2:00pm-4:00pm on Friday, July 17, 2020 in the Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland.
