Evelyn Floris Gose, age 76, a resident of Portland, passed away November 11, 2020 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. She’s a former resident of Indianapolis.
Evelyn was born on June 30, 1944, in Lima, Ohio, the daughter of Elmer and Floris (Painter) Rowe. She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Indianapolis. Evelyn worked for J.B. Hunt, Nighthawk Commodities and Art to Remember in Indianapolis.

Nathaniel Howell (wife Gayle) – Pendleton
Laura Johnson (husband James) – Dayton, Oregon
1 brother: Raymond Rowe, Sr. (wife Jane) – Texas
Several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren

Visitation will be held on Monday from 3-6 p.m. at The Family Worship Center, 200 E. Elder St., Portland, Indiana 47371. Services to celebrate Evelyn’s life will follow at 6 p.m. on Monday at the church. Pastor Ron Willis and Pastor Sonny Petty will conduct the services. Burial will follow at a later date in Lima Memorial Gardens in Lima, Ohio.
The family wishes in lieu of flowers that a tree in memory of Evelyn be planted in her memory, or donate to any cancer organization. Donations may also be directed towards A Better Way of Muncie.
