Frances I. Grubb, age 81, a resident of Whittier, California, passed away on August 5, 2020, in California. Frances spent her childhood in Portland, Indiana.
Frances was born on July 26, 1939, in Missouri, the daughter of Zeak and Nadine (Wear) Ross. She worked for several years as a Certified Respiratory Therapist and served as a CPR Instructor at Cerritos College in California. She later retired from a secretarial position at a medical supply company that she enjoyed for 15 years.
Frances was previously married to Richard “Dick” Nibarger and together they had children Connie Steinen (husband Steve), Richard Nibarger, Jr. (wife Lisa), Carolynn Geesaman (husband Harley), Deanna Norris (husband Jim) and Steven Nibarger (wife Darlene).
She later married Marion L. Grubb and he has preceded her in death.
Additional survivors include:
4 step-children: Jimmy Grubb (wife Rose), Donny Grubb (wife Vicky), Billy Grubb and Linda Perkins (husband Bob)
2 sisters-in-law: Kay Ross and Janet Ross
Her best friend since childhood: Arlene Nibarger
11 grandchildren, step-grandchildren and great grandchildren
Her granddaughter, Julie was of great help during the past several months and she is appreciated by the family. The family would also like to thank Vicky Grubb for all her help in allowing our mother to stay home for most of her last days.
She was preceded in death by 3 siblings: Jack Ross, Marge Bricker and Dorothy Bye
She recently had a brother pass away, Edward James Ross.
Services will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at 11 a.m. in the chapel at Green Park Cemetery.
