Gene Robert Whitehead, Jr. age 52 passed away Saturday, November 23, 2019 at his home in Portland. He was a 1985 graduate of Wes-Del High School in Muncie. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and worked over 20 years at Pennville Custom Cabinets in Portland as a Programmer.

Gene was born February 11, 1967 in Eustis, Florida the son of Gene and Sandra (Ward) Whitehead Sr. He was married on May 4, 2002 to Sandra Kay Rupe.

5 Daughters- Allison Whitehead, Gaston, IN., Harlie Hiestand, Portland, IN., Tabitha Long, Muncie, IN., Elaina Whitehead, Portland, IN., and Tamara Whitehead, Portland, IN.,

2 Grandsons- Alex Hiestand, Portland, IN. and Milo Whitehead, Gaston, IN.

His mother- Sandra A. Whitehead, Muncie, IN.

Sister- Alice Evans (husband-Scott), Muncie, IN.

Brother- Ernie Whitehead (wife-Jennifer), Gaston, IN.

Mother-in-law- Nancy Rupe, Portland, IN.

Father-in law- Jay Rupe, Bryant, IN.

Sister-in-law- Sheila Rupe, Portland, IN.

Cremation will take place and there will be no services.
