Obituary

     Harley Jacob Schwartz, age 22 a resident of rural Portland passed away Friday morning at Lutheran Hospital in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Harley was a contractor and a member of the Old Order Amish.

     Harley Jacob Schwartz was born July 23, 2001 in Portland, Indiana the son of Christian  A.C. and Mary Susan (Hilty) Schwartz.

Survivors Include:

His parents- Chris and Mary Susan Schwartz, Portland, Indiana

Maternal Grandmother- Katie Edna Hilty, Geneva, Indiana

2 Brothers- Wyman Schwartz and Duane Schwartz, Portland, Indiana

2 Sisters- Neoma Troyer (husband-Roman), Shipshewana, Indiana

                Veronica Shetler (husband- David), Portland, Indiana

A very special friend- Sarah Graber, Bryant, Indiana and a nephew- Lane Troyer

      Visitation will be held at the Chris Schwartz residence, 1250 E. 400 N., Portland, Indiana on Saturday, August 26, 2023 from 2:00pm-8:00pm. and on Sunday August 27, 2023 from 10:00am-8:00pm.

     Funeral services will be held at the Chris Schwartz residence on Monday August 28, 2023 at 9:00am.  Officiating Bishop Chris A.C. Schwartz assisted by David J. Wengerd will officiate the services.  Burial will follow in the Bearcreek Cemetery.
