Janet Matchett

Janet Matchett, age 84, a resident of Portland, passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2020 at Persimmon Ridge in Portland.
Janet was born on December 20, 1935 in Salamonia, Indiana, the daughter of Walter and Mayme (Smiley) Matchett. She graduated from Madison Township School and was a member of West Walnut Street Church of Christ.
Survivors include:
1 brother: Lewis Matchett (wife Janiece) – Muncie, Indiana
1 sister: Francis Scott (husband Tom) – Muncie, Indiana
Several nieces and nephews
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2020, at 3 p.m. in Salamonia Cemetery in Salamonia, Indiana.
Memorials may be directed towards West Walnut Street Church of Christ or Jay County Humane Society.
Arrangements entrusted to Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland.
