John Carsten

John Carsten, age 69,  passed away Saturday at his Ft. Wayne home surrounded by his family.  He retired from Raytheon Co. in Ft. Wayne.  He was a US Navy veteran and a member of the American Legion Post 82.  John was a proud steward of the Acres Land Trust.

He was born on September 29, 1944 in Ft. Wayne, the son of Wayne and Doris (Robinson) Carsten.  He was married in 1991 to Mary Jane Kissner who survives.

4 Daughters- Shari (Carl) Fiocca, Manhattan, IL.

Angie (Bruce) LaFontaine, Ft. Wayne

Amy (Chris) Steward, Huntertown

1 Sister- Janet (Ron) Penrod, Muncie

15 Grandchildren

Visitation will be held from 1-5pm on Wednesday at the DO McCombs and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home on Dupont Road, Ft. Wayne.

Funeral Services will be held at 5pm Wednesday at DO McCombs and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home with Pastor Brandon Risch officiating.

Memorials may be directed to Acres Land Trust or Parkview Hospice

Arrangments are being handled by the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland, Indiana.
