Larry Brinkerhoff, age 75, a resident of Portland, passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie.
Larry was born on April 2, 1946, in Portland, the son of Calvin and Ruth (Smith) Brinkerhoff. He graduated from Portland High School in 1964 and married Deborah Moses on August 12, 1966.
Larry served in the Army National Guard and worked for Sheller Globe in Portland. He owned and operated Brink’s Garage and Paint in Portland for many years. He was a member of Vintage Motorbike Club and the Cushman Club of America. He was a former member of the Assemblies of God and currently attended Bryant Wesleyan Church. Larry never met a stranger in all he did and was always willing to help anyone in need.

2 daughters: Lori Bailey (husband John) – Portland, Indiana
Amy Wehrly (husband Jim) – Portland, Indiana
2 granddaughters: Raquel and Natalie Wehrly
He was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Ruth Brinkerhoff and 2 brothers, David and Ken Brinkerhoff.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 4, 2021 from 4-8 p.m. at Bryant Wesleyan Church, 209 S. Hendricks St., Bryant, Indiana. Services to celebrate Larry’s life will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 10 a.m. at Bryant Wesleyan Church in Bryant. Pastor Paul VanCise and Pastor Michael Burk will officiate the service and burial will follow at Green Park Cemetery in Portland.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed towards Bryant Wesleyan Church Mission Fund or the family of Brian Barnett to help his fight with Multiple Sclerosis.
