Lloyd “Joe” Adcock, age 91, a resident of rural Portland, passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at his home in rural Portland.
Lloyd was born on September 14, 1931, in Union City, Indiana, the son of Arlie and Bessie (Warren) Adcock. He married JoAnn Miller on November 22, 1952 and she passed away on February 19, 2020.
Lloyd graduated from Union City High School and served in the U.S. Army. Lloyd farmed in Jay County and worked as a rural Postal Carrier for many years, retiring in 1996. After his retirement he worked for Payless Pizza making pizza deliveries. Lloyd enjoyed going to local farmers markets where he would sell his produce and meet many new friends. He was a member of Praise Chapel Church of God.

2 brothers: Daniel Adcock – Yorktown, Indiana
Jim Adcock (wife Charlotte) – Westfield, Indiana
10 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren
Visitation will be held on Saturday from 9-11 a.m. at Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at New Pittsburg Cemetery with military graveside rites being conducted by Portland American Legion Post #211.
