Marlene Murphy

            Marlene M. Murphy, age 80, a resident of Redkey, passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2020, at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie.

            Marlene was born on May 10, 1940, in Jay County, Indiana, the daughter of Kenneth and Mary (Curtis) Geesaman.  She worked for Kerr Glass in Dunkirk for 35 years, retiring in 1995. 

            Survivors include:

            1 son:  Ronald Murphy (wife Deb) – Pennville, Indiana

            1 brother:  Larry Geesaman (wife Judy) – Dunkirk, Indiana

            1 sister:  Pam McEwen – Redkey, Indiana

            2 grandchildren:  Shad Murphy and Sheana Harmon (husband Billy)

            Several nieces and nephews

            Private visitation will be held on Monday at Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland.  Graveside services will follow at Center Cemetery, west of Portland.
