Mary Elliott

Mary Elliott age 83, a resident of rural Portland, passed away on Monday, October 19, 2020 at Millers Merry Manor in Dunkirk. 

     Mary was born on March 2, 1937, in Fortville, Indiana, the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Irelan) Shull.  She married Albert Elliott on September 20, 1952 and he passed away on September 23, 2007. 

     She was a member of New Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church.  Additional memberships include Circle X, Pike Friends and Neighbors Home Ec. Club and Missionary Women of New Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church. 

Survivors include:

3 daughters:  Sharrie Gentry – Portland, Indiana

                      Deb Haffner (husband Jeff) – Portland, Indiana

                      Amy Sommer (husband Terry) – Ridgeville, Indiana

4 sons:  Thomas Elliott, Sr. (wife Geri) – Pennville, Indiana

              Steven Elliott (wife Becky) – Portland, Indiana

              Charles Elliott (wife Vivian) – Clarkrange, Tennessee  

              Larry Elliott – Dayton, Tennessee

11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild

2 step-grandchildren,  5 step-great grandchildren and  2 step great-great grandchildren

     Visitation for Mary Elliott will be held from 11:00am-2:00pm on Saturday in the Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral home in Portland.  Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00pm at the funeral home. Pastor Alan Crull will officiate the services and burial will follow in the Center Cemetery, west of Portland.

    Family requests memorials be directed to Riley Hospital for Children or Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.
