Mike Theurer

       Mike Theurer, age 59,  a rural Portland resident passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at IU Health Jay County Hospital.  He was employed as a Data Network technician and a veteran of the U.S. Navy.  He had a passion for Harley Davidson motorcycles which led him to be a charter member of the Patriot M.C., where he was past National and State President of the club.

     Mike Theurer was born February 23, 1961 in Jay County, Indiana the son of John and Jackie (Welsch) Theurer.

He was married on October 29, 1999 to Patricia “Trish” Masonbrink.  She preceded him in death on July 2, 2011.

Survivors Include:

1 Daughter- Cassandra Gee (husband-Jon), Indianapolis

1 Son- Briar Armstrong (wife-Alexis), Portland  

His parents-  John Theurer, Portland, and Jackie Hanks, Portland

3 Brothers- Mark Theurer, Rich Theurer, and Randy Theurer (wife-Barb), all of Portland

2 Sisters- Theresa Theurer and Shannon Bias, both of Portland

4 Grandchildren-Emma, Mason, Benson and Duke

And his special friend- Bendago

     Visitation for Mike Theurer will be held from 1:00pm-3:00pm on Friday, January 15, 2021 at the Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland.  Funeral services will follow at 3:00pm at the funeral home.  Dave Wall will officiate the services and burial will follow in the Green Park Cemetery in Portland.  Portland American Legion Post 211 will be in charge of military rites at the cemetery
