Patricia Joan (Barr) Hostetter

Patricia Joan (Barr) Hostetter gained her angel wings on May 30th, 2022, in Pennville, Indiana. Patrica was 83 years old.

Patricia's life would seem too short to many, but those of us who were blessed to be touched by her understand that her existence and the imprint she left on our hearts exceed the quantity of time that she stayed here. Patricia was talented in many aspects of her life. She was a master of cooking, an avid card player,  and a loving mother and grandmother. When Patricia wasn't playing her card games, she could be found in her recliner watching some of her favorite game shows, talking to one of her children or grandchildren on the phone, or making something delicious in the kitchen. Not a day went by where she didn't talk about how much her children and family meant to her-- Patricia’s family was arguably her most important achievement in life. Her faith in Jesus was important to her as well and some of her favorite scriptures to read were in the book of Psalms. 

Patricia is survived by five of her children, Mary Ellen LeRoy,  John Blocher Jr., Lynn Blocher, Anita Gerbig, and Dave Blocher; as well as 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Patricia was predeceased by her parents William and Gernie Barr, her first husband John Blocher Sr. and her second husband James Hostetter, her sister Connie Bowles, her son William Blocher, and grandson James Blocher.
