Pauline M. (Arnold) Carpenter

Pauline M. (Arnold) Carpenter, age 97 a resident of Portland passed away Friday, December 18, 2020 at Persimmon Ridge Rehabilitation Center.  She was a member of the Portland Moose and Eagles Lodge, and the Portland American Legion Auxiliary.  She retired in 1976 from Corning Glass in Bluffton after 20 years.

     Pauline Carpenter was born September 15, 1923 in Decatur, Indiana the daughter of Clarence and Hazel (Harden) Myers.  She was first married to Bob Arnold.  She then married Jack Carpenter on June 15, 1996 and he   passed away  January 29, 2006.

Survivors Include:

1 Son- Larry Arnold, (companion- Sharon Kemp) Hartford City

2 Daughters- Bobbie Wells (husband-Jim), Corunna, IN. and Debra Kauffman, (companion-Mike Miller) Ft. Wayne

2 Step Sons- Rex and Jon Carpenter, Portland

2 Step Daughters- Pennee Carpenter, Portland, and Tammy Kletinger (husband-Vance), Greenville, Ohio

4 Brothers- James Myers (wife-Mary), Pennville, Robert Myers (wife-Karen), Redkey, Ronald Myers (wife-Cheryl), Montpelier, and Donald Myers(wife-Marilyn), Geneva.

2 Sisters- Florence Ludy, Florida, and Rosella Baumen (husband-Glen), Bryant

7 Grandchildren, several Great Grandchildren, Step grandchildren and Step Great Grandchildren.

     Visitation will be held from 11:00am-1:00pm on Wednesday at the Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland.  Funeral services will follow at 1:00pm at the funeral home.  Pastor Gil Alicia will officiate the services and burial will follow in the Gravel Hill Cemetery, west of Bryant.
