On November 2, 2021, Richard Brooks Williams, loving husband of Lisa Wolford Williams and father of Jeremy Williams, passed away at the age of 54 surrounded by his loving family. Born December 14, 1966, Richard is survived by sisters: Cheryl Lathem (Dan), Oregon, Cindy Arnett, Muncie, Vickie Smith, Hartford City and 2 brothers, Terry Williams (Felica), Washington and Denny Decker (Cathy) Hartford City. He will be greatly missed by his fur baby, Evie.
Richard loved the Indianapolis Colts, the Denver Broncos with Peyton Manning, and the Alabama Crimson Tide. He loved music and could tell you the artist and song title in 2 notes.
Richard loved to work on cars and race stock cars - #22R, collect diving watches, miniature racing helmets, tennis shoes and his smell good cologne. Richard loved working at Superior Auto (…cars!!). He enjoyed his tenure as Captain of the Portland Police Reserves and he was extremely proud of his son’s military service.
Richard is finally reunited with his mother, Phyllis Morris Williams, his father, Richard L. Williams, his mother-in-law, Anna Sipe Wolford and can finally meet his father-in-law, Charles
Wolford. We know that he is happy to see fur babies, Cookie and Zoë.
Richard would have wanted to leave us with the words of his favorite band, Pink Floyd – I have become comfortably numb. Richard, you will be missed.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 4-7 p.m. at Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland. Services will follow at 7 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home with Pastor Gil Alicea officiating.
