Victor E. Uhrick, age 77 a resident of Portland passed away Thursday, December 26, 2019 at Persimmon Ridge Rehabilitation Center. He worked at Indiana Manufacturing in Dunkirk, and was a proud veteran serving in the Indiana Army National Guard for 37 years. He was a member of the Portland American Legion Post 211 and attended the Trinity United Methodist Church in Portland.
Victor Uhrick was born October 4, 1942 in Portland, Indiana the son of Cree and Treva (Batten) Uhrick.
Survivors include:
2 Brothers- Larry Uhrick (wife-Lisa), Indianapolis, and James Uhrick (wife-Jerri), Bellevue, Ohio
1 Sister- Sonja Yohe, Portland, Indiana
His best friend- Mike Roser, Portland, Indiana
He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins
He was preceded in death by his brother, Don Uhrick and his parents, Cree and Treva Uhrick.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 11:00am-2:00pm on Thursday in the Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland. Funeral services will follow at 2:00pm Thursday at the funeral home. Rev. Phill Jellison will officiate the services and burial will follow in the Gravel Hill Cemetery, west of Bryant, Indiana. Portland American Legion Post 211 will be in charge of military graveside rites at the cemetery.
