Dear Louise & Family, My heartfelt sympathy for your great loss.Pastor Evans was so full of great knowledge & wisdom , a wonderful teacher of God's word! I had shared with him a message he had given at the First Baptist Church, that had a profound impact on me. He was a friend of my brother Cam. After he passed in 09, I saw Larry's name & # on his phone. Always enjoyed seeing you both at Walmart, May God bless & comfort you.

Even though I only met Pastor Larry briefly, his words and his person had a profound effect on my spiritual life. Through him, I came to experience God’s love and power. One time I had a severe back pain, and he offered to pray for me and I was healed that very day. From that point on, I knew that God is very real in my life and He cares for me. I am going to miss him dearly.

Your ministry at Purdue is the light on our path to Jesus Christ. We did not know Him very well until you showed us through your ministry. You were a good shepherd who not only taught us God’s love, sacrifice and wisdom, but also served as a living example. My family, as well as many brothers and sisters at Purdue, was touched by your work. We are grateful that our Lord brought you and Louise into our lives. We will carry this love to people surrounding us.

We are so sorry to hear that we won't be able to see Pastor Larry again till the Day we are all in front of our Lord. Though we believe our Lord is pleasing to see one of his good and faithful servants has completed his work on earth. You two have been the spiritual guide for so many Purdue students and lead them to our Lord. We are sure that Pastor Larry's spiritual heritage will continue to live in all of us and make profound impact for our Lord's kingdom. Larry, you and Louise treated us like your own children, teaching us the true meaning of faith and sharing the wonderful news of salvation and freedom in God. Your love and sacrifice brought tremendous blessings to us. We are the little flock you and Louise took care of with your lives. No words can say enough about how much your love from God blessed us and changed our lives. We love you and miss you dearly.

Our hearts paused upon the sad news. Our thoughts went back the time with Larry & Louise at Purdue. The wonderful time and joyful conversation when we were in the down time of our life. How little did we know we are affected by your wits and your heart toward the Lord at that time. As we have moved on with faith through the down time, the things we learned from Larry & Louise light up our paths from time to time. We miss you, Larry. Our hearts and prayers go with Louise and the rest of the family.
