There was a time in my life when Tom was not only my best friend but as close as any brother could be. We were so different in so many ways but had similar passions in Music and Musclecars. Where our common interests brought us together our differences really allowed us to grow as people, I would like to believe we took the best from each other and added those traits as our own. When Tom moved away from the San Francisco area to DC it became hard for us to stay in contact and over the years we grew apart, talking infrequently though I always thought about him especially around his birthday. The thought of waiting, perhaps a long time to see him again (as I know I will) is painful but the joy of having known him overcomes. It took me a long time to be able to write this and the loss still brings me to tears and then I too think of his goofy jokes and smile. I miss you brother.

Tom was my best friend\poppy to my kids. He was the kindest, sweetest person that has ever entered my kids and my life. He would drop anything\any time to help us. He gave us a place to stay when we had no where to go. He listened when no one else would. There is not a day that will pass that I will not think of you Thomas and your goofy jokes. You always had a way to make me smile when I was down or a way to make everything be OK. We will truly miss you. You are forever in our hearts and the kids will never forget u I vow that to you. We love you with everything we have. Until we meet again; watch over us,protect us and guide us. Prayers and love to his family. Your my guardian angel now Thomas Eugene Black. Fly high my friend, you are free and no longer in pain xoxoxox
